I don’t really know how to tell you how I’ve felt about the Joplin tornado. I’ve been in shock about the whole thing for some time. I was born in Joplin. Growing up directly in between Joplin and Neosho, both were like hometowns to me. I love this city so much and its streets were very familiar. So much of Joplin has changed, and while it is sad when I go back there, I do feel a sense of hope in this great community. I can tell that there is so much service and love coming out of these beautiful people. I’ve wanted to help from a distance for a while, and am glad that I can be involved in the Joplin Smile! organization to offer my set of skills to the wonderful people of Joplin who have experienced loss as a result of this storm. If you or someone you know is one of these people, they can set up an appointment for a free photography mini session by clicking the photo link below. My name is at the bottom of the list of photographers when you click on “sign up” and my mini sessions will be on Friday the 23rd of September. If that doesn’t work for you, there are tons of great photographers lending their love and time through the end of October, so go sign up!
