We had a amazing and fast little family road trip to Washington, D.C.! Paul and I were so impressed with our kids. They were so great in the car for the two days there and the two days back. Then, for the two days we trekked around D.C., they were also amazing, and we walked a total of 10 miles both days! We saw so many great things and just really enjoyed our time there. This was our first real self-motivated and planned family trip, so it was a pleasant surprise to see how well Sophia and Kal did! They are such great kiddos 🙂
The weather was also pretty cooperative for February. We had originally planned to be there two weeks earlier, but found out about snowstorm Jonas and were able to reschedule at the last minute. Thank goodness! D.C. received two feet of snow that week! We enjoyed 40 degree days while we were in town and only had issues with snow on the drive home. Anywhoo, it was a great trip!
I love this picture of the kids holding hands and walking in the World War II Memorial-we walked all around the National Mall a lot together just like this. I will be sharing a few more pictures on Instagram later this week-follow me!
