Sophia is in her first year of public school this year. She started second grade and she’s loving it! A little over a week ago, Kal started 4-day a week, afternoon pre-school. He’s also really loving it. Both of them have great teachers and are making good friends. I finally got around to a school portrait shoot with the two of them. It’s funny being a photographer and taking pictures of your own kids. They stress me out more than other kids during the session (because they are my own) but then when I look at the pictures later, I love every one of them! Lol. They are great kids though. And pretty cute 🙂
I also did a little interview with them for this post:
Favorite word?
Kal: Uhhh…Double U. (W, not sure he understood the question)
Sophia: Sophia! Because that’s my name!
Favorite song?
Kal: Up Down Funk You Up. I call it Up DOWN Funk you up! (because he knows up town is what we say, but up down makes more sense to him!)
Sophia: Book of Mormon Stories
What would you like to pack in your lunchbox?
Kal: Bananas! Because I love em.
Sophia: A little treat, apples, maybe carrots, string cheese, vitamins.
What’s something you could teach your class?
Kal: How to love their hearts the best
Sophia: Short vowels and long vowels.
What is your favorite part of school?
Kal: Playing toys. The tree-house is my favorite.
Sophia: Art.
What is your favorite thing to learn about in school?
Kal: I like to learn about Halloween!
Sophia: My favorite subject is science.
When you grow up, what is your dream job?
Kal: An astronaut. Because I would float in space!
Sophia: I’m not really sure, I have a lot of ideas like. First of all–I’d like to make video games, or be a book writer, an engineer, and I think that’s all. I like engineers!
