Friends, my Kansas City Workshop just wrapped up and it was a success! I’m putting together a trip to Saint Louis in July which will include a beginning photography workshop on Saturday, July 27th. So if you are interested in learning how to master your camera, check this out!! Here are all the fun details — I hope to see you in Saint Louis next month!
Every year for the last six years, I have offered a basic course in photography. I’ve learned that I enjoy teaching photography nearly as much as I love practicing it. I have a passion for the creative and am so happy to share my love for this medium with others! I know it can be frustrating, having a camera that is capable of taking the pictures you want it to take, but not knowing how to get it to capture what you are seeing the way you want it to capture it! Sometimes our cameras do great on AUTO mode, but often, it is when we are able to move it off AUTO and into MANUAL that real, beautiful magic can happen! Let me teach you how to do that!!
In my 3.5 hour course, we will learn all the basics of exposure. We’ll learn how to use your camera in Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and (gasp!) even full-on MANUAL mode! We’ll learn about composition, taking pictures of kids, white balance, what lenses to use for what, and I even cover starting a photography business-if that is your goal. I’m an open book and happy to pass on what I have learned through years of study and practice.
This is not just a class for the budding professional, this is a class for moms (we love to take pictures of our kids!), bloggers (you NEED good pictures to sell your blog), business owners (again, you NEED good images these days!), pet lovers, and all the hobby photographers out there! Everyone is welcome. Many have taken my class with various goals and all have improved from it. Several have gone on to start very successful blogs and photo businesses of their own.
To name a few:
Shades of Blue Interiors
Crystal Archibee Photography
Eat It and Say Yum
Katie Stephens
Just think of all the times you’ve tried to get the picture but the light was too dark, the image too blurry, the colors came out wrong! You have a nice camera (or maybe plan on getting one) but are not using it to it’s full capacity! That is so frustrating, let me help you learn! I’m offering this class now at a reduced price! Even better, register with a friend for a deeper discount–$15 off each! My former students, if you would like to come back for a refresher course, you are most welcome at a whopping 45% discount!
This course will be held in Eureka, MO on July 27th. That’s a Saturday from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. There will be light refreshments served.
We’ll have plenty of hands on learning experience. It will be an environment where questions are welcome and everyone will be encouraged regardless of experience. This is a beginner class, but anyone who would like to better understand their camera is welcome. It is suggested that you have a DSLr camera but not required. Any camera with a Manual function will do. If you have any questions, please email me at jillian@jillianfarnsworth.com
You can register your seat by scrolling clicking on the dropdown options and the PayPal button below!
I can’t wait to see all the places photography will take you!!! The possibilities are truly endless 🙂
