My beautiful new niece Rhea quickly gained the nickname “Miss Rhea Sunshine”. It fits her perfectly. Her mom and I worked along this theme for her newborn session, and I couldn’t be happier with these pictures! I’m SO excited to share!!

By special request, I created the next picture to match a favorite from her brother’s newborn session. This picture was taken nearly two years earlier.

Okay, I have to say something about this next one. I decided to spot color it ***gasp!*** Spot coloring is very frowned upon by photographers these days, but I just had to do it for this image. I’m gonna explain. You see, the rainbow-colored glass heart sweet Rhea is holding is very special. It belonged to Rhea’s grandmother’s best friend, Kim who was a dear friend of the family. They were all so close to Kim and she passed away recently from brain cancer. Everyone wished Kim could have been around to welcome Rhea into the world. During the session, the back of the camera image brought tears. I felt strongly that this would be the best way to edit this picture. I know it’s meaningful.
